Tempo, Tempo, Tempo!

It has been a long winter and we are all excited to be back on the course waiting to watch those first tee shots fly long and straight down the fairway. If you find you are having a hard time shaking off that winter “rust” check out your tempo. A slow, smooth backswing will help you maintain your balance throughout the swing leading to better ball striking, solid contact and more fairways hit.

How to do it: Count to three at an even pace as you swing the club. Say “one” as you start the backswing, “two” as you reach the top and “three” as you are finishing your follow through. The more even you can count, the smoother your swing will be!

Happy Practicing!!!
